Education | |
Elementary and social education is a poorly developed discipline in Himalayas and hence our foundation will focus on to take it to the next level. Apart from providing them educational knowledge, the foundation is also bringing awareness in the villages of the Himalayas for keeping their place free from pesticide, insecticides, poly bags etc.
It has also been noticed that in past many years there’s heavy immigration of young boys from Himalayas to the plains just for the sake of few thousand rupees. Most of them are either driving the cabs or found working in a hotel or restaurants at the cost of peanuts. The idea is to bring them back and engage them back to their roots where they can live a better life. The foundation should focus on systemic reform of elementary education, by focusing on key gap areas and entering into partnerships with the government, institutions and local gram panchayats and villagers. Based on the inputs received from the review in identifying key gap areas in the sector and critical assessment of performance of the portfolio, the foundation reorganized their education portfolio into the following sub-themes. |

Women Welfare | |
Through our upcoming project of making the handmade soap from the pulp of fruits, Tulsi Leaves, flower petals and many other Himalayan Herbs, women self-help and farmers groups will be provided with technical knowledge on production and usage , as well as assisted to establish small commercial production units and get financial assistance from credit institutions to facilitate strategies for bringing their products to a centralized production unit for Simply Natural Welfare for expanding the scale of operations. The project is expected to promote enterprise development by village women and the techno-economic viability of this activity shows that production leads to a net profit of Rs50-55,000 / year / women with a single pit capacity of 500kg, The increase in income increases the likelihood of women using it for health and education of their children, which, under normal circumstances they are unable to afford. About 10-12 families can benefit from each training and the production can be enhanced by increasing the number of small production unit. |
